Keswick is a walkers paradise and why so many visitors flock to our beautiful market town every year. Such iconic fells such as Catbells, Skiddaw and Blencathra to name just 3. There are plenty of walks right from the apartment, no need to use the car. You can also make use of the bus services including the very popular 555 service which can take you down to start fell walks such as Helvellyn and Raven Crag at Thirlmere but also the lower level walks and villages such as Grasmere as well as Ambleside and Windermere. Head west and there is Bassenthwaite but also the Western Lake District including the Loweswater fells and of course, England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike.

With Derwentwater on our doorstep (just a 15-minute walk), enjoy this body of water in so many ways from boat and stand-up paddle hire to many other kayaking and windsurfing. Just 3 miles away is also Bassenthwaite, again with plenty of water sports opportunities.

Keswick Golf Course has spectacular views and is an extremely popular course for all golfing abilities regularly receiving excellent reviews.

For fishing, Keswick Tourist Information Centre has day, week or season permits for fishing on Derwentwater and the River Greta.

The weather isn’t always dry but adventure can be had indoors at the climbing wall at Newlands Adventure Centre., just a 5-minute drive from us.
